The Right Lead

Since most people fight out of the left lead, there are a few misconceptions in regards to what constitutes fighting properly out of the right lead. While the subject of the right lead could cover several installments, what I will do is point out the three most common things that a person should know when fighting out of a right lead.

1 - It is NOT a mere matter of fighting the same way one would fight if one was in a left lead. There are differences, the most important two of which are the following,,

2 - A person in a right lead facing someone in a left lead is ALWAYS in danger of getting knocked out if the right lead fighter drifts in the direction of the opponent's cross. This is KNOCK OUT CITY

3 - The right lead fighter has the huge benefit of being able to deliver the defense/offense combo of the skip jab and the skip hook, both of which are not possible from a left lead.

More to come
