Double End Bag

Some boxing tools do not get the credit they deserve. One such piece of equipment is the double end bag. It looks like a simple tool on the surface, but it has a great deal of sophistication to it. On a baseline level, it can aid in developing rhythm and accuracy. There are many ways to train on a double end bag. Here is a VERY simple workout for those looking for a basic way to train the double end bag:

Jab and Cross the bag repeatedly.
Slip outside on the jab as the bag comes back and slip outside on the cross as the bag comes back.

Yes, this is about as simple as simple can be. However, if you train this simple drill often, you will develop your slips to a decent enough degree that they will be sharper when you enter in the ring for a little sparring.
