Headgear - Face Cage or Not?

Is there much of a difference between headgear with a face cage and one without? Those interested in added protection and a desire to avoid black eyes may wish to use a face cage. While the face cage does not make you indestructible, it can create a buffer zone from the impact of a punch and your eyes and nose. This can reduce injuries somewhat although there are no guarantees.

Headgear with a face cage does have a tendency to be a bit cumbersome and clunky. It might even undermine your vision. So, you do have to take the pros and cons together when you are weighing your options to use headgear with a face cage.
