Consistant Training
I can never emhasize how important it is to be consistant in your training. Breaks in training are common and that is not inconsistant training. Inconsistant training is where there is no focus to your training schedule and training is constantly mixed with gaps, etc. Now, some may ask how they can lock three or four days a week down for training when they have such busy schedules...blah...blah..blah
Folks, you can survive on one day a week provided you make sure that you attend that class or private lesson week after week, every week for the bulk of the year. Now, I am probably hearing voices in my head from the other side of the spectrum asking what is one day a week worth? Folks, it is worth hell of a lot more than doing nothing!
If you get one day in - just one day - and you stick with it, you will make gains in your performance. Sure, spending three days a week in class is better, but if it is not an option then be happy with the one day a week. Again, stick with that one day a week program and stick with it the bulk of the year. Trust me, the gains will come.
