So where is all the sport boxing tips?

Is there anything to gain from learning how to box like John L. Sullivan did 100 years ago?

Yes.

It's called insight.

Recently, I have invested a lot of space on this blog on information about classic boxing, self-defense, bareknuckle fighting, etc. This has led to a little less space spent on traditional boxing. Why is this? As always stated, this is a blog for people that enjoy boxing as an active hobby. Hobbyists have a tendency to look at various aspects and focuses of boxing. Some just enjoy the history. Others like to learn how to "cheat" in a self-defense scenario. Then, there are those that like to modify boxing for MMA competition. Others just dig everything and anything to do with using your hands. That is one reason I added the word "visions" to the blog. The blog encompasses anything associated with boxing.

Contrary to popular belief, there is WAY WAY WAY more to boxing than jab, cross, hook, overhand, and uppercut. The multitude of things you can do with boxing are incredibly immense. That is why you can train boxing for a decade and only scratch the proverbial surface of the sport. This is because boxing is such an open and brilliant art. It never ends and that is the greatest aspect of it.

So, enjoy boxing in all its forms, methods, and aspects.
