Shadow boxing to Stay Sharp
While some might not be willing to discuss it - or even think about it - the fact remains the financial crisis has the potential drive people out of there boxing classes. That is just the way it goes sometimes. When you are short on cash, you need to make necessary cuts. If this means you need to reduce you leisure time activities then that is how it has to be. Of course, this does not mean that you need to stop training as there are always solo opportunities available to those that want to maintain their skills.
Shadow boxing is the perfect way to review your material without having to rely on training partners or equipment. This is a critical point because if you are short on cash, you may have to go it alone as far as your training goes.
This does not mean that you need to perform 15 rounds a day. All that is required is a few rounds - even 3 rounds of 3 minutes every other day will help keep you technically sharp. That way, when you return to your boxing classes you will not find your skills have completely degraded.
