Center Line as the lowest point of refinement
For those unfamiliar with the term "center line," it refers to the "imaginary" line the goes down the center of a person's body. The ability to occupy and control the cener line remains a critical area of importance when it comes to overwhelming an opponent because the center line remains the primary area where directional force will deliver power, but it also represents the area where the body can suffer from extreme vulberability. The solar plexus, for example, remains a primary target on the area of the center line and is a knock out point if hit.
In order to control center line, there needs to be a sense of refinement instituted. If you are boxing and your arms are flalling, there is relatively limited control of the centerline because the flalling arms are not occupying the center line. If a person begins to tighten up the punching, then there is a much stronger control and occupation of the centerline.
When the centerline is properly occupied and controlled, there is enormous power to be gained and it is a viable strategy that most should pay stricter attention.
More on centerline to come....
