Some new moves

Well, these 'moves' aren't new. They have been around a jillion years. But I would like to share them with y'all and you can put them into your training. Basically, this are counter pater drills where the first offensive motion is countered and the second motion is intercepted. That is, you attack the jab cross by deflecting the jab and then countering before the cross is fired.

Here are a few:

PARTNER FIRES A JAB AND YOU:

Parry Jab and Return a Jab

Parry Jab and Return a Cross

Parry a Jab and deliver a lead leg kick

Ok, I can hear you grumbling out there. You are complaining that this is "too basic." A pox on you! When you work the basics (simple drills like this) you can develop practical skills that are easily translated into pracitical application in sparring.

Is that not what you really want, after all?

Parry a jab and deliver a rear leg kick
