Sprinting
One of the more common problems that people will complain about when it comes to their training is the fact that their stamina is sometimes lacking. This is nothing to be ashamed of because we all 'hit the wall' at some time or another. However, if you are perpetually "blowing up" or "running out of gas" then you will probably need to find some form of supplementary training in order to maximize your training potential.
Wind sprints are probably the most common as well as the most effective. They can be performed on a treadmill, a sidewalk, up a hill or in any other multitude of environments.
So what exactly is a winsprint? Basically, it means that you will run full blast for a short period of time. Say..thirty seconds. Often, it is best performed with interval training. That is, you walk for thirty, jog for thirty, then sprint for thirty. (By the way, this type of sprint training can be applied to bicycling, juping rope or a host of other training methods)
While it may see overly simplistic (and it is), wind sprints remain probably the most successful ethod of improving cardiovascular health and fitness and remains a highly recommended method of increasing stamina and conditioning. (It is also a grea weight loss method as well)
