Costs of private lessons

Yes, it is true that private lessons can be somewhat costly, but this does not mean that you should flippantly dismiss taking private lessons out of hand. All it means is that you need to perform a little due dilligence when it comes to selecting an instructor who offers provate lessons.

For example, while there are those instructors who charge $80 - $150 an hour, they are not the norm. Most private lessons can be purchased for $40-$60 and hour. Also, most instructors will provide a discount if you pruchase a group of private lessons. In fact, they may even allow you to pay for this bulk order in installments!

Additionally, most people believe that in order to get anything out of a privat lesson the person will need to take one or two lessons a week. This is an absolutely fine plan of action. But what if you can not afford that frequency. Easy - cut back to a level that you can afford! If you can only do one private a month or every two weeks, then take the lessons at this level of frequency. Something is better than nothing and, in time, the volume of the lessons will accumalate as will the knowledge that you derive.
