Low Intensity Over The Long Haul

I used to always get a kick out of the old pictures of Bruce Lee watching TV while riding a stationary bike. Of course, what I was laughing at was a man who developed one of the most impressive ripped to shreds physiques of his time period. This is pretty significant mainly because very few athletes during the 1960's had the type of ripped physique that Lee possessed. Much of this had to do with a very simple and basic fact: Lee exercised quite a bit doing a lot of cardio and a lot of weight training. Now, the intensity level that Lee performed his cardio routine is outside of my knowledge. Of course, the higher the intensity, the more calories one will burn.

Then again, if one performs low intensity over an extended period of time, a person will burn a ton of calories as well. This is probably what many people should shoot for because it is significantly easier than having to perform high intensity workouts such as sprinting. If you hop on a treadmill and stay there for 45 minutes or an hour while watching TV, you are going to burn a decent amount of calories. If you do this consistently over several months, those burned cals will add up and you'll have a ripped physique in no time. Give it a shot!
