Now - a side note on the previous side note!
There are also "tight" overhands that and done from inside fighting range and odd angles. Here is an example: you bob and weave the hook; hit the body; then OVERHAND right the high line. Now, there is a critical point here: do not RISE UP to deliver the overhand. Throw the overhand from a crouched position!
There is a good reason for this: if you rise up before throwing the overhand, there is a strong possibility that you may have to deal with an attack to you (unguarded) high line. Needless to say, this is somthing you may wish to avoid! More on hitting from a low position in later installments.
Actually, I may even start a whole series on the very misunderstood punch known as th overhand right (or left, dpending on your stance) More to come!
