Bruce Lee's JKD and the Concept of Attack by Draw in Boxing

Attack by Draw is a concept that arguably originated in sport fencing and migrated to boxing. (Fencing is the parent art to modern boxing) Attack by Draw is probably more commonly known as "baiting", which is the idea of leaving a line open to draw in an attack. "Leading" is another form of

Attack by Draw as it involves drawing an opponent to commit a specific action although not always leaving a line of attack open.

Bruce Lee's martial art of Jeet Kune Do combined boxing, fencing, and wing chun principle so it is no surprise Attack by Draw (ABD) is mentioned prominently in his art.
