High Low High
Down. Up. Down. Up. Sounds repetitive, doesn't it? Maybe. When it comes to the subject of throwing a jab, high low high is a repetition that can yield great results.
First, people have an unfortunate tendency to be 'head hunters' where they only throw their jabs at the high line (head) which is a predictable offensive tactic that ignores the other lines of attack such as the low line (midsection or even groin) Of course, exclusively attacking the low line is not a great idea either. Again, it is predictable.
However, if one combines high low high or low high low, then you have a really effective jab combo. Personally, I prefer low high low because most can not defend th elow shot and it sets up the high shot effectively. The third shot (low) will usually distrupt any retaliation from the face job. A fourth punch in the form of a rear uppercut will usually be a great power shot to finish this combo. Of course, there are a multitude of other follow ups you could do that are equally effective, You just need to experiment
