Patience My Friend, Patience.
Of course, I am talking to myself.
When it comes to improvement, you need to exercise a bit of patience.
If you wish to become good at a combat related sport, there needs to be a mix of focused and specialized training over a period of time.
In other words, you train hard with an emphasis on improving your weak points and you do this over an extending period of time. As time progresses, you become experienced and with that experience comes skill.
The key here is that the person realizes there is a need to invest TIME into improvement. Only so much progress can be made each day, but those little imvrements add up piece by piece. Trying to cram too much into too short a period of time is unrealistic and leads to feelings of inadequacy and lack of progress.
