JKD DUMMY SET PART TWO

Here is a bit more on those JKD Wooden Dummy Sets. Be forewarned, some of this material I learned for the first time only this week. As such, I may be off on some of my analysis. If there needs to be any amendments or revisions performed in regards to this particular entry, I will do so at a later date.



JKD DUMMY SET PART TWO

1.) Enter on the left side of the dummy and slip while performing a Jao Sao
2.) The slapping hand performs a Jut Sao while the other hand performs a hit
3.) Convert Part Two into a Trap and hit motion.
4.) Repeat the same items described in 1 – 3 on the right side.


Again, the purpose of the JKD Dummy set was more to develop the trapping in a boxing mode as opposed to the Chi Sao motions of the Jun Fan Dummy Set. Again, the Jun Fan Dummy Set was derived from the traditional wooden dummy sets of classic Wing Chun and one of the main focuses of development in the classic dummy set was enhancing Chi Sao ability.
