Salem Assli's Savate Series

Prof Salem Assli's Savate Series is not a new release on the crowded martial arts DVD market. In fact, it was released long before DVD even existed on a drwing board. These tapes were made by the (now defunct and greatly missed Pather Video of San Clemente, CA the former premiere martial arts instructional video production company) I believe the original release date of these tapes was 1986 and, unlike many productions of that era, these tapes hold the test of time. In fact, if it gets better with age as it greatly surpasses pretty much every other savate tape on the market that has been produced in its wake.

These tapes are not flawless, but they provide an excellent introduction to savate basic offense, defense, footwork and common techniques. This ten volume series is a valuable tool and should be in the video library of any serious savate practitioner.
