Using full body weight

When you want to utilize a knock out punch, you are going to need to hit with all your body weight. If you are not transferring your full weight behind a punch, then all the punch becomes is an 'arm strength' punch. That really isn't something you want to strive for. Now, I know what some people are saying: you don't knock your sparring partners out so why would you want to utilize body weight?

Ok, fair question. However, going light does not mean you abandon proper boxing form. It just means that you slow the pace and the game down and to a controllable level so that no one gets hurt.

When you are working the heavy bag, however, you are going to want to deliver all your body weight behind your punches so as to develop that all important knock out power. So how can a person deliver the transfer of body weight behind the punches? That will be part of my next installment!
