Cutting Off A Circling Opponent
Ok, say you have an opponent who seems to enjoy circling around you. As you try and press, he tries to circle around you to eliminate the pressure you put on him. It is a smart move on his part. So what do you do to deal with this? In kickboxing, the my to go about adjusting his attitude would be to cut kick him as he moves. Depending on whether he goes right or left you use a rear or frontal muay thai round kick to stop him or to at least slow his movement down.
There is a great way to drill this and it is by having and opponent circle you and your repeatedly use rear and front thai round kicks to intercept his movement. This is a simple drill for a simple technique that is quite effective.
