Another very well made Savate series

Although this series is no where near as 'famous' as the Salem Assli tape series, Guy Chase' four volume savate series that was produced by ESPY-Video back in the early 1990's is an excellent tape series as well. Also, it is still available via ESPY-Productions so it is not a tape/dvd series that will be difficult to track down. Although this series is not as comprehensive as the Salem Assli's series, it is still a well put together set that covers many basics and offers a ton of combinations that students could practice.

If there was one negative in regards to the series, it would be that virtually all of it centers on equipment training and gross motor movements. There is really nothing on this set about sparring or fine details of the art. However, this should not be a reason to dismiss the series completely out of hand. If you are a beginner or are looking for a general overview of the art of Savate, then Guy Chase's series will provide a great deal of information that will prove helpful.
