Minor Changes Yield Largest Results
The title of this entry pretty much tells all. To a slight degree, it ties in with the previous post about removing unessentials. Let me explain: If you learn the basics of boxing and continue to refine them so that your skill level rises from beginner to intermediate to advanced, etc, there will be a need to make minor changes in order to effectively perform. Consider this modification:
Bob and Weave,raise your body up, throw a hook.
Now consider the following alteration:
Bob and weave and launch the hook on the rise.
The latter is clearly more effective and it is a refinement of the first, slower moves. These minor alterations ultimately create a far more powerful offense. It is not a demonstrative change from one's prior gameplan, but rather a minor change that maximizes potential
